Meet “The Drum that Shall Not Be Named”

I’ve admired the work of Albert Alfonso for many, many years. Not only is he an amazing drummer himself, he makes very fine bodhrans for a long list of the very best players in the business. I’ve also been intending to improve and expand my bodhran playing for many years, but I felt it required a complete reworking of my playing style. At long last, I’m starting to do that with one of Albert’s amazing drums!

Along with the amazing “It used to actually be alive!” goat skin head, it also feature’s Albert’s patent-pending thumb tuning system – no Allen wrench required! Albert also worked with me to get a wonderful custom finish on the shell, and he included a couple new 9″ tippers for me try with with my new playing style. (I also made a few for myself out of assorted things I had in my stick bag.)

Look for this beauty every Saturday night at 8pm CT / 7pm MT on my Facebook live stream (aka “The Howl”)!
